The only time it’s necessary to ‘clean things out’ is on that magical time around your 50th birthday when you go in for a colonoscopy – and that’s partly for the comfort of the doctor doing it as well as the effectiveness of the procedure. There’s quite literally nothing in there to cleanse but your last meal or two and some bacteria. The human digestive tract is even more resilient than the skin.

I think colon cleansing is necessary. I don’t like the pills, powers, etc that come with most kits. I take colonics once a month and enemas in between for colon health.
They are a total waste of time – it’s a complete farce that they do any good at all – a balanced diet, with plenty of fresh fruit and veg and drink the recommended 2L of water daily is the best you can do for your body.
Or as the answerer above said – a can of baked beans – I think that’s a great idea – best I’ve seen in a long time – well done mate – and it’s a lot cheaper than colonic irrigation. I’m giving a thumbs up for that one.
