I totally agree, 3rdgeneration22. There are lots of ‘closet’ eaters who over-eat when they’re alone (I’ve been guilty of it before). I usually eat less when I’m with friends or family, because I’m talking and interacting more, instead of focusing on the food.
Yeah right! I eat MORE when I eat alone and I think this is true with most people!

lol i am with you! i love foooood, i eat very healthy, no junks, i think i fast like once 2 years ago, for one day then i ate ten time more the next day!!!! no i exercise everyday but i enjoy my food in a healthy way

I was on the lemonade diet too! Yea and it’s torture.. I think it’s ok to do the lemonade diet for like 1 day so it can clean your body but 10 days? Never in my life again xD

totally agree – think about it, between going to bed and waking up – you’re body does not consume food for 5 to 8 hours (depends on how long you sleep)
I think I have a high metabolism – sometime I get hungry when I’m sleeping, so hungry that I had to get up and have something in my stomach

Lemonade diet….I was on it for 10 days 2 months ago and lost 10 lb….then when I back to soild food, I gain back that 10 lbs and some. even the soild food are salad, high protein, all healthy for my body. My body was starving and absorb ALL it could. Now i’m back to my normal weight but my skin has strech….

when you’re eating with people you spend more time in front of the food.. so you naturally eat more… and then somebody else is ordering coffee… which you probably normally wouldn’t drink.. but since it sounds like a good idea you take on too, and so on

The skepticism comes from the fact that comprehensive, peer reviewed research almost always fails to show any benefit to them, and frequently shows a relationship between detoxing and deficiencies in hormones, vitamins, minerals, etc. I’m glad that you say they helped you, and if they do then keep it up, but would you concede that you were predisposed to thinking it would help you? That is to say, you were already willing to buy the detox kit and try it out because you assumed it would help.
I agree with this. Most of the time I spend at meals is actually talking. Conversation is such a back and forth that having food in your mouth can really slow down the flow of it. What Shape was saying also makes some sense though because when you’re alone you can really listen to what your stomach is saying.

I really didn’t, they are just always thin and the way the light is hitting my face it made them disappear – I filmed this on Friday and will post pictures from this weekend so you can all see.
Most of those tips were great! However, I disagree with the concept of eating alone – what are you going to do? Lock yourself away and eat by yourself just so you can be skinny? Why not dine with family and friends, and focus on the conversation and lovely time spent with them instead of over-stuffing your face?
Very informative!! I find that many people still believe that “detoxing” is necessary, whereas just having a healthier diet would be much more beneficial to them.
