I keep seeing these supposed weight loss supplements that say you can lose 15 to 20 pounds by cleaning your colon (such as with an enema or with a colon-cleansing pill).
Frankly, I am not interested in either, because it sounds unrealistic to lose that much weight at once like some of the ads claim. But do people really have that much impacted feces in their colons?
One even said that John Wayne had 63 pounds of impacted feces in his colon when he died.

No. the average person does not have anything built up in their colon. unless you have an extreme medical problem you DO NOT HAVE that stuff in your belly. a big scam has come out in the past few years trying to make people cleanse the colon they put out propaganda about how your colon in impacted and needs cleansing, they even allow their users to post pictures of what they pooped out. but these things they are pooping out is just the product itself.
i did a project on this, and its a scam. they put out things like this to make you buy useless products.

whoa thats so wierd. i wana try that i dont want 15 pounds of old crusty poo sitting in my belly.
NO,
Get active every day, eat well, and have fun — the weight will adjust on its own.
I have heard that as well. It sounds like junk science to me since I have never seen any documentation on it. From a common sense standpoint, I can see that there is some truth to it considering the general lack of fiber in the average diet. I have heard of stories of people who have had colon cleansings who cleared out a lot of accumulated waste. Apparently this waste is mostly processed food and animal products which contain virtually no fiber. I hope someone reading your question can point to some research on this.
ewwwww gross. thats impossible though. wat stupid ad is claiming this?
I seriously doubt the truthfulness in those claims (scam). I have had a colonoscopy procedure done before and the preparation beforehand cleans every last bit of feces out and there isn’t anywhere near that much discharged and when they do the colonoscopy the doctor can see the inside of your colon on the screen and it is clean as a whistle. I have also seen that on video tape for myself. Ask a doctor that does them and I’m sure they will tell you it’s BS.(scam)
Sounds like a load of sh*t to me.
