To lose weight? As much as a laxative does. Better off with a natural detox diet with lots of toxin flushing foods like citrus and exercise. Or a regular low fat, low cal diet and exercise.
well actually your colon doesnt jusy totally cleanse itself after a bowel movement. thats why when people have a colonoscopy your have to drink solution and loads of water to clean it entirely. ive never tried colon cleanse but i think it can be helpful in removing built up toxins and stuff
My man up there is right – they are, for the most part laxatives. And unless you have a serious medical condition, I assure you, you do not have 5 pounds of undigested meat up there (how do I know? because after a single dose of laxatives, they put a camera up your butt for a colonoscopy, and they want to be able to see every sparkling millimeter of your intestines)
So – um, increase your fiber – it litterally "brushes" out the sides of your intestinal tract….and be sure to eat as many fruits and veggies as you can stand.
They’re a waste of money. There’s nothing in your colon that your body doesn’t already clean out during normal defecation.
If you’ve got problems with your "number 2", you could change your diet a bit: Dried prunes or other food rich in fiber should help.
