I’m thinking about doing a colon cleanse, but was wondering how similar the effects are to the prepping you have to do for a colonoscopy. I had that test not too long ago, so wondered if it would even be worth my while doing the cleanse?

colon cleansing is usually mentioned in infomercials where ppl are trying to get u to buy their "body cleanse" crap because ull lose weight and feel better and stuff. its all bullcrap. the only reason they give u the laxatives and things before a colonoscopy is to clean all the poo out of ur intestines so they can get a clear look at the intestinal walls.
Yes- prepping for a colonoscopy is cleaning out your colon for a reason.
"Colon cleanse" quackery is cleaning out your colon for no good reason at all. Unless you LIKE diarrhea and hemorrhoids and a sore bottom.
Colon cleansing is a bit of quackery. That stuff about "toxins" doing evil things to your "system" is a re-hash of a nineteenth century treatment long ago discredited by the medical community.
