<p>A very popular diet plan that has come under fire recently is the negative calorie foods diet.  There are few eating plans that cause as much heated argument as this one, as there are many dieters who claim it works and love it, while others argue over whether or not this diet is a scam &#8211; or if it&#8217;s even dangerous.  Many dieters have a hard time figuring out the truth because there seems to be misunderstanding from a lot of people on what this diet actually is and how it is supposed to work.</p>
<p>At first glance negative calories seem too good to be true, and you never fault a dieter with being cautious.  Studying the list will help dieters make sense that this is a supplemental diet to help reduce overall calories: not some miracle to eat &#8220;negative calories&#8221; each and every day.  Many do consider negative calorie foods to be a fad, but these same foods are mainstays in many other diets.  Still, the question is: are negative calorie foods a healthy part of a diet, or dangerous fad?</p>
<p>There are a lot of arguments over this point.  Many people argue that there can be no such thing as a &#8220;negative calorie.&#8221;  This is true, because there can&#8217;t tangibly be anything with a negative value in real life.  This isn&#8217;t what the negative calorie foods diet is saying, however.  What this diet is saying is that there are foods that force the body to work and take more calories to burn, digest, and process than the food has in it.
